2016 was one of the most turbulent times of the world. A year when Donald trump was elected and modern memes entered the world - forever changing the way we live our lives.

As for me it was the genesis of my career with the discovery of a microgenre called vaporwave. 
A strange world where the aesthetics of the past play with the dreams of the internet; brewing a deep sense of nostalgia for a time long gone. Being my first outing into any realm of artistic medium, most works were born from "monkey see, monkey do". 

That being said it did get me over the line with my HSC and landed me in uni.  Not bad for a monkey
